Mobile silos and level data acquisition
Everywhere where handling is simplified by using loose bulk goods instead of packaged products, processing industries are relying more and more on mobile containers. Especially in the building industry, transporting dry mortar, plaster and floor screed in mobile silos on special silo vehicles makes sense. To be able to plan the right delivery quantities for the right time, and deploy vehicles and drivers efficiently, exact level information from the building site is indispensable. On the basis of WEB-VV history data, the requirements of the respective building sites can be determined quite precisely. If the levels of the silos are known, the right quantities can be delivered at the right time – this allows routes to be optimised. If no changes are reported over some length of time, the silos can be picked up from the building sites a good deal earlier. Through this acceleration of silo circulation, investments in silos are considerably reduced.
Level measurement technology for transport silos
An especially robust measurement technology is required for mobile silos because of the rough treatment it gets already during silo transport.
