VEGASWING vibrating level switches master any challenge |
The time-tested VEGASWING series 60 vibrating level switches measure in media with process temperatures up to +250 °C and pressures up to 64 bar. The maintenance-free level switches are robust, reliable and are able to manage extremely difficult measurement tasks. They are unaffected by product density, foam and bubble formation, buildup, strong external vibration and changing media.
The vibrating level switches are delivered with different mechanical process connections depending on the on-site requirements. Different coatings, such as ECTFE, PFA or enamel, make implementation possible even in problematic and aggressive media. A regular functional test of the safety or protection function is mandatory in many plants. The recurring function test requires an annual check of every single sensor. For this, VEGASWING must be neither dismounted nor immersed in the medium - the test is carried out by simply pressing a key on the device. In safety instrumented systems with single-channel architecture it is qualified for use up to SIL 2, in systems with 2-channel architecture up to SIL 3. Even when servicing is required, the compact sensors demonstrate their advantages: the electronics is easy to exchange and therefore saves having to remove the sensor.
