PACTware captures the European market

The first international road show of the PACTwareT Consortium e.V. took place from 9th to 12th of October 2006. The road show started very successfully and received great interest in the toured European countries. 140 participants from the Process Automation Centres in Switzerland (Montreux), France (Lyon) and Italy (Milan) were informed about the advantages of manufacturer-independent instrument adjustment via the universal adjustment tool PACTwareT.

The international road show was arranged by the local representatives of the associated companies and the FDT group. Every event was held in the respective national language. Introductory lectures presented the basics of FDT technology and its most widely distributed frame application PACTwareT. Its suitability for everyday use was proven beyond doubt by up-to-date user reports. The live presentations on the multivendor setup were this year again the special highlight of the event.

The great interest of the participants was evidenced by the many qualified discussions as well as the rush of visitors at the exhibit stands of the participating companies Bopp&Reuther, Krohne, Magnetrol, Pepperl+Fuchs, Samons, Trebing & Himstedt, Turck and VEGA.

To further promote PACTwareT in the future, local sales and marketing teams were established in the toured countries.

For future events, the potential of other European countries is also being examined.

Company-specific PACTwareT workshops in Germany are planned for 2007.
