Science Days 2007 |
|
The Science Days 2007 were well attended: this year, more than 22.000 pupils came to Europa Park Rust. A hundred companies and institutions put together a diverse presentation under the themes "Natural science" and "Technology". An exciting world of scientific experience was thus created in a space covering approx. 11,500 square meters. VEGA was also represented there with a stand. In the course of their "trainee project" the VEGA trainees presented practical tests and experiments on the topics pressure and force. "What is hydrostatic pressure?" and "What happens to a chocolate marshmallow in a vaccum?" were only two of the topics that delighted visitors. The self-constructed dynamometer "Starker Daumen" (Strong thumb), which was almost continually surrounded by crowds, allowed anyone to test his or her strength. The "Science Days" offered VEGA trainees an excellent opportunity to make science and technlogy more comprehensible to the visiting school kids.
