Recertification audits successfully passed

In 1993, VEGA’s quality management was certified according to ISO 9001, a worldwide recognized industry standard, for the first time. Certification of the environmental management system according to ISO 14001 followed in the year 2001.
The ISO 9001 norm is the most important and most prominent norm in quality management (QM). It regulates the requirements on quality management systems. The objective of the norm is to provide proof that a company’s products and processes satisfy all governmental as well as customer requirements. To the principles of quality management belong customer orientation, integration of all involved persons, process-oriented organization, management responsibility and efforts at continuous improvement.
ISO 14001 is the internationally accepted standard for an effective environmental management system. This norm creates a balance between profitability and environmental protection.
Since the certificates are valid for only 3 years respectively, a recertification audit must be carried out every 3 years. From December 9th to 12th, 2009, a combined recertification audit of both management systems was carried out for the first time by DEKRA. This recertification updated the existing certifications according to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, bringing them into line with the most current norm.
The results of the audit were positive and confirmed the continued validity of the ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certificates.
