SPS/IPC/DRIVES 2009 a complete success

SPS/IPC/DRIVES 2009, Europe's leading trade fair for the automation sector, went off exceedingly well. There was no sense of crisis whatsoever: on 89,000 m² in eleven exhibition halls, a total of 1,237 companies presented their products and services for electrical automation. Already on the first day of the fair, the halls were full and the visitor parking spaces taken.
With 48,595 visitors, SPS/IPC/DRIVES 2009 was as well visited as in previous strong years. Organizers and exhibitors reported that, in view of the current economic situation, this is very positive sign for the whole automation sector.
VEGA presented itself in the context of SPS/IPC/DRIVES with measuring instruments for level, switching and pressure as well as general services and software. For VEGA, SPS was the successful conclusion to the trade fair year 2009. “The whole time from the opening of the gates to shortly before closing, our fair team had one discussion after the other with customers.” Sales manager Freddy Vollmer thus confirmed the generally high number of visitors at the event. Visitors were particularly interested in the new features of the modular product concept plics® for level, limit level and pressure measurement as well as the new developments in nucleonic level measurement.
“SPS was once again an all-round successful event. The huge crush of visitors as well as the great interest shown by customers exceeded all expectations”, commented Freddy Vollmer, sales manager of VEGA Grieshaber KG, in conclusion.
