eric – the radar revolution

The most successful level radar in the world – eric
In 1997, eric revolutionised the market as the first intrinsically safe radar sensor in two-wire technology. In next to no time VEGA became world market leader in level measurement with radar technology. The reason for this: the convincing combination of technology, function and price. VEGA recognised the trend towards non-contact level measurement early, and proceeded to develop the optimum product.

eric – Simply convincing
Its operational reliability and compact dimensions make eric an extremely versatile level measuring instrument. eric is a non-contact sensor, which means it is wear-free. eric radar sensors measure almost any product, are chemically resistant and hygienically safe. And last but not least, eric impresses by its easy, trouble-free setup, long-term reliability and low maintenance costs.

Virtually unlimited application possibilities
eric can provide an optimum, cost-effective solution for almost any area of application. This holds true for the measurement of products with poor reflective properties (liquid gas, solvents, hydrocarbons), for vessels with complex installations (struts, heating spirals, stirrers), and for very agitated or foaming product surfaces. eric can handle measuring distances up to 35 meters, highly corrosive products, measurements in blast furnaces and molten metals in steel production. eric can also be implemented for measurement in existing standpipes or bypass tubes. The choice of two different emitting frequencies ensures the highest degree of operational reliability.

eric – The first step to the new system platform
The concept that made eric successful laid the groundwork for the new VEGA system platform plics – easy handling of complex technology in a well thought out system.
